Project Officer, Dr. Kath Walker
Kath completed a PhD in Archaeology, specialising in the study of prehistoric stone axes, at the University of Southampton at the end of 2015. Her previous roles include teaching archaeology at University of Bristol, working in public libraries, and supervising on a large volunteer-run archaeological excavation in Norfolk. As a researcher and communicator, she is delighted to be working to raise the profile of the internationally important collection within The Christopher Tower Library and making resources more widely accessible.
Digitisation Officer, Katherine West
Katherine has been working in various museums in the south of England for about five years and has held a number of roles, including Curatorial Assistant and Volunteer Co-ordinator. Currently, she is working at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society alongside her new role in Lyndhurst.
She is very excited to be joining the New Forest Centre at the start of such an interesting and worthwhile project.
